A Happy New Year to you all!
It has been lovely
to see all the Christmas tags and Tag
Swap Show & Tell posts. I have also enjoyed
showing my collection of swap tags to family and friends.
For my New Year
tag I used a giant silver and Mother of Pearl button for the zero and painted
the other numbers to make 2013. I used
outline stickers for the Happy New Year in the middle of the button, with some champagne and glasses and stars all around.
I made a pretty tie
with blue ribbon and metallic threads. I included a single white rosebud with this
verse in mind:
A New Year is unfolding
Like a blossom with petals curled tightly,
Concealing the beauty within.
I'm looking forward to another creative year. The Tag Tuesday challenge starts again on 8th January. The theme for the first 26 weeks is working through the alphabet. I'm looking forward to taking my Calligraphy skills to newlimits and exploring how I can combine it with embroidery and painting and other mixed media.
One of my resolutions is to update my blog more often! Watch this space!
